BACK SURGERY FOR SHAWN ANDREWS

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews has undergone surgery to repair a problem in his back. The procedure will cause Andrews, who has been out since Week Two, to miss as little as six weeks and as much as three months. He has not been placed on injured reserve. Based on his recovery, there’s a chance that the team could later decide to do so. Max-Jean Gilles will continue to replace Andrews at right guard.
