CARDINALS PLACE CLARK HAGGANS ON IR

The Arizona Cardinals placed linebacker Clark Haggans on injured reserve on Friday. Haggans has a LisFranc sprain of his left foot and will be in a cast for the next several weeks. Haggans played 11 games for the Cardinals this season, his first with the team after eight years in Pittsburgh. Haggans didn’t start any games for Arizona and tallied 19 tackles as a backup to Chike Okafor and Karlos Dansby. His roster spot will be filled by elevating second-year tackle Elliot Vallejo from the practice squad. The UC-Davis product was on the team’s 53-man roster for the first 11 games, though he saw no time, and spent all of 2007 on the practice squad
