In May, the NFL may make significant changes to the post-touchdown scoring process. The NFL could move the one-point try farther back, move the two-point try closer, or both.
The CFL officially has done both.
Via CBC.ca, the one-point try will be moved from the five yard line to the 25, adjusting the kick from 12 yards to 32. (The goal posts are at the front of the CFL end zone, since the CFL end zone is 25 yards deep.)
Likewise, a two-point convert has been moved from the five to the three, which will encourage teams to go for two more frequently.
The CFL rejected a three-point play, which would have been awarded for a conversion from the 10.
In 2014, one-point attempts were successful 99.4 percent of the time in the CFL.
