DeSean Jackson doesn’t miss the Eagles at all

Washington wide receiver is surrounded by plenty of problems at the moment.

So old Philadelphia problems aren’t his any more.

Jackson told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer he didn’t want to rehash the past, but made it clear he has no love lost for the Eagles.

Nope. I don’t miss the team. I don’t miss the organization,” Jackson said. “There’s no point in living in the past. This is my team. This is where I am for better or worse. Do you live in the past? It’s no way to live.”

Asked if he ever got an explanation for his release, Jackson joked: “Didn’t you hear? I’m a gangster. I’m in a gang. That’s why I’m gone.”

That’s a reference to the NJ.com story about alleged gang ties, a story which dropped moments before the Eagles released him, though coach Chip Kelly insisted it was just for football reasons.

Asked if he thought the team missed him, and it was clear how he felt.

“They’ve still got [Jeremy] Maclin. I’m happy for my boy. He’s been dealing all year,” Jackson said. “But it’s Maclin and that’s all they’ve got.”

That’s a not-subtle shot at Riley Cooper, whose yardage and touchdown numbers have fallen off a cliff this season.
