The Eagles churned their roster a day after setting their initial 53-man roster by making three waiver claims.
They added safety Terrance Brooks, a 2014 third-round pick who got bounced from the Ravens roster on Saturday. Brooks played in 23 games for the Ravens and made 27 tackles. The Eagles kept four safeties on their initial roster.
They also claimed Kamu Grugier-Hill off of waivers from the Patriots. A sixth-round pick of the Patriots this year, Grugier-Hill profiles as a hybrid linebacker/safety at 6'2" and 215 pounds. His speed should help on special teams right off the bat and he gives some depth to linebacker group that had just four players after Saturday’s cuts.
Wide receiver Bryce Treggs is the third newcomer to the roster. Treggs was Jared Goff’s top receiver at Cal and ran a 4.39 40 at the school’s pro day, neither of which was reason enough for the 49ers to hold onto him. The Eagles kept five receivers, although Dave Zangaro of CSN Philly reports that Paul Turner will be waived to make space for Treggs.
