Giants kicking field goals, but that might be enough

The 49ers offense is such that the Giants don’t have to do too much.

Fortunately for them, that’s exactly what they’re accomplishing.

The Giants sandwiched a pair of field goals around a touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Shane Vereen, enough for a 13-3 lead over the 49ers.

At the moment, the 49ers have thrown one pass for more than 8 yards, it just seems like they’re trying to lateral everything. Without much pressure from that direction, there’s not much pressure on the Giants to excel.

Dropped passes derailed two drives, and the other was a fairly crisp 14-play march by Manning. It might be enough.
