The Lions have signed an offensive lineman who’s gained some NFL experience in the last two years.

The club has added former Jets, Cowboys and Browns lineman J.B. Shugarts, according to the NFL’s Thursday transactions.

The 24-year-old Shugarts signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in May 2012 and had a brief stint on the club’s practice squad during the 2012 regular season. He spent part of the 2013 offseason with the Cowboys but was waived in July. Shugarts spent the 2013 preseason with the Jets before being waived in the cut down to 53 players.

Shugarts (6-6, 305) has appeared in a combined eight preseason games in the last two seasons. He played collegiately at Ohio State, starting three seasons at right tackle.
