The Bills got defensive tackle Marcell Dareus back this week after he missed the first four games of the year while serving a suspension, but his return to the lineup this Sunday isn’t a sure thing.
Dareus has been listed as questionable to play against the Rams after hurting his hamstring in Friday’s practice.
“We’ll see how it is. We’ll find out later how he responds,” coach Rex Ryan said, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.
The Bills have until 4 p.m. on Saturday to formally restore Dareus to the 53-man roster. If they opt against it because of his injury, the roster exemption remains in place until Monday.
Running back LeSean McCoy is also listed as questionable after hurting his hand in practice. Ryan sounded less uncertain about his ability to play against the Rams, although nothing will be official until the weekend.
Cornerback Stephon Gilmore, left tackle Cordy Glenn and tight end Charles Clay are also questionable while tackle Cyrus Kouandjio and wide receiver Greg Salas have been ruled out.
