We’ve believed for several weeks now that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb wants to get out of Philly. In our view, McNabb is only one missed postseason berth away from being dumped. So why not seize the momentum flowing from an unlikely NFC title game appearance and obtain the kind of financial security that protects him from such an outcome? If the Eagles don’t want to do it, then they can trade him. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports recently predicted that, if the Eagles don’t pay McNabb or trade him, McNabb won’t participate in the team’s offseason program. So, yeah, McNabb wants out. Unless he gets paid.
