Muscle Hamster heads to Hawaii

DougMartin

With the 49ers qualifying for the Super Bowl, the NFL needs to replace San Fran’s eight Pro Bowlers.

The NFL already has announced that Bucs running back Doug Martin will replace running back Frank Gore.

The other 49ers Pro Bowlers are tackle Joe Staley, guard Mike Iupati, defensive lineman Justin Smith, linebackers Aldon Smith, Patrick Willis, and NaVorro Bowman, and safeties Dashon Goldson and Donte Whitner.

The NFL may also have to replace Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who suffered an apparent shoulder/collarbone injury late in Sunday’s game.

Martin, a rookie, rushed for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. He apparently was higher on the list of alternates than Redskins rookie running back Alfred Morris, who finished with 1,613 yards.
