With Devin McCourty failing to make it to the open market as a result of his new contract with the Patriots, Rahim Moore is the highest-ranking safety on PFT’s list of the top free agents this year.

Moore ranks at No. 44 on that list and many of the players ahead of him have already landed contracts for the 2015 season. Moore might not be far behind them.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that Moore is visiting with the Texans on Wednesday and that he could take another visit right after that should he fail to strike a deal with Houston. The team he might be visiting is unknown, but the Giants and Eagles have been mentioned as potential bidders for his services.

Kendrick Lewis and Danieal Manning are both free agents, which makes safety a real need in Houston. Moore would slot in alongside D.J. Swearinger if he signs in Houston, although he’d be advised to neither pet Swearinger’s dog nor detail his truck.
