The Raiders gave their offense some flash last night, and followed it up with a solid line pick in the second round as they try to rebuild.
With the 35th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Raiders took Florida State defensive lineman Mario Edwards.
The Raiders were fortunate for wide receiver Amari Cooper to fall into their laps last night, putting the draft’s top wideout prospect in the hands of a promising quarterback in Derek Carr.
Now, they add a defensive building block to pair with 2014 first-rounder Khalil Mack, which should held solidify things. Edwards has the ability to rush from inside and outside, and gives the Raiders some options up front after trying old guys a year ago.
