Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards has another reason to believe the NFL hates the Vikings.
The NFL fined Edwards $20,000 this week for spearing Cowboys running back Marion Barber. The league called the hit unnecessary roughness, although Edwards wasn’t penalized during the game.
Even for a NFL player, that’s “a lot of [expletive] money,” Edwards said via Tom Pelissero of ESPN1500.com.
Edwards has been fined three times since the preseason started for $5,000 each, although one of his fines was reduced $2,500 upon appeal. The large fine this week is because Edwards is a repeat offender.
