Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III must be feeling good, and getting bored.
Griffin said Monday, via the Associated Press, that he was “ready to move on,” to the next phase of his rehab from knee surgery, and do more in practice.
Griffin said he’s had no soreness or swelling in his right knee, and hopes to do more than the 7-on-7s he’s currently limited to, perhaps moving onto team drills next week.
“Coach will tell you something else, but I’m ready to move on,” Griffin said.
Every indication has been that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan is wary of letting his star go too fast, too soon.
Griffin isn’t expected to play in the preseason, and keeping the reins pulled back on his quarterback has been Shanahan’s plan, as difficult as it may be sometimes.
