After spending last week in court in Alabama as he faces charges including assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm, Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain is back with the team this week.
Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times reports that McClain is practicing at today’s organized team activities.
The Raiders haven’t had anything to say about McClain’s case other than to issue a statement saying, “The team will continue to closely monitor the legal process, understanding that when appropriate the NFL will review the situation under its personal conduct policy.”
McClain is facing charges in connection with a November incident that took place when he was given permission to leave the Raiders and go back home and attend a funeral in Decatur, Alabama. A judge found McClain guilty of four misdemeanors last week and sentenced him to 180 days in jail, but McClain’s lawyer called that verdict “meaningless” because McClain is still entitled to a jury trial.
