Sergio Kindle will head to Baltimore next week

More than a month after Ravens linebacker Sergio Kindle fractured his skull, the team’s top pick in the 2010 draft will head to Baltimore by the end of next week.

Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reports the team will give him a medical evaluation when he arrives. To this point, Kindle hasn’t been cleared to even get on a plane out of Texas where he suffered the injury falling down a flight of stairs.

Kindle remains unsigned and that doesn’t figure to change until the Ravens get a better handle on his long-term prognosis. His status for the 2010 season and beyond remains a total mystery at this point without knowing more information.

At the very least, Kindle is expected to start year on the physically unable to perform list.
