‘Skins Privately Denying Reports Of Imminent Cutler Trade

Many of you have sent the link to John Keim’s latest report regarding the status of trade talks between the Redskins and the Broncos for quarterback Jay Cutler. Keim says that a deal is imminent. But one team source privately has denied the report. We’re not taking a position on this one. If it’s truly imminent, it’ll happen imminently. Unless it doesn’t. Two weeks ago, executive V.P. of football operations Vinny Cerrato publicly denied a bogus-from-the-outset report that the Redskins were close to acquiring Cutler in a three-team deal that would have sent quarterback Jason Campbell and tight end Chris Cooley to Cleveland.
