J.J. Watt, viable fantasy football starter?
We’re not quite there yet, but the Texans’ All-Pro defensive lineman must be respected whenever he lines up on offense, as he proved again Sunday at Cleveland.
Watt tallied the game’s first points on a two-yard TD pass from Ryan Mallett, giving the Texans a 7-0 first-quarter lead over the Browns.
On the play, Watt ran a fade against Browns linebacker Chris Kirksey, hauled in the pass and got his left knee in bounds for the touchdown. The TD pass was Mallett’s first in regular season play, and it was Watt’s second catch and touchdown of the season.
Later, on defense, Watt would record a sack, running his total to 9.5 for the campaign.
