TYSON JACKSON STANDS ON COMBINE RESULTS

Louisiana State defensive end Tyson Jackson worked out with other LSU draft-eligible prospects on Monday. But, beyond the bench press and position drills, Jackson rested on his Scouting Combine performances. Per Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Jackson managed 20 reps of the 225-pound bar. But that was eight reps less than Kirston Pittman, who wasn’t at the Combine. According to Brandt, who described Pittman’s workout as a “surprise,” Pittman also ran the 40-yard dash in 4.69 seconds and 4.72 seconds. He did the short shuttle in 4.45 seconds and 7.64 seconds in the three-cone drill. He also sprang 30.5 inches and popped an 8-foot, 8-inch broad jump.
