Some believe that the UFL presented a surprisingly high quality of football in its inaugural season. The level of play arguably was obscured by the fact that the uniforms looked like they been designed by someone who was color blind. And also legally blind.

This year, the teams will be utilizing new duds. On Wednesday, they’ll be unveiled.

“They aren’t as wild with the color combinations as last year, but we have some unique features,” UFL director of equipment operations Bobby Monica said in an item posted on the league’s website.

One feature appears to be the placement of the word “Locos” on the front of the Las Vegas jerseys, below the number.

Monica said that last year’s color schemes, which had similarities among the four teams, arose from notions of efficiency and frugality. “Put the product on the field, get everything rolling, save some money and make everything interchangeable,” Monica said.

Two players from each of the five UFL teams will attend Wednesday’s event, during which the new uniforms will be unveiled.

We’re not sure how good they’ll look, but they won’t be any worse than last year’s version.
