One of the biggest questions that will arise after Super Bowl XLIII is whether Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will return to the team in 2009. He’s scheduled to be a free agent, and it’s very possible that another team might be willing to pay him much more money than the Cardinals would ever pay. The Cardinals could block such efforts only by working out a new contract with Warner, or applying the franchise tag -- which will cost $14.8 million for 2009. Warner is scheduled to appear on The Dan Patrick Show later this morning, and it’s our understand that Dan will tackle that topic with Warner, among other things. The show launches at 9:00 a.m. EST; you can listen live right here.
