The Packers have gotten off to a great start in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday night.
Green Bay has a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter after Romeo Doubs’ 13-yard touchdown catch.
Doubs caught the ball 6 yards down the field on second-and-8 then kept his legs moving to muscle his way into the end zone for the score.
It was Doubs’ third touchdown of the season and his first since October.
Quarterback Jordan Love is 6-of-6 for 62 yards with a touchdown through two drives. Josh Jacobs has also gotten off to a terrific start with 46 yards on eight carries plus three receptions for 38 yards.
Green Bay already has 10 first downs and is averaging 7.1 yards per play.
The Packers elected to take the ball after winning the opening coin toss and certainly sent a message with their first drive.
Josh Jacobs capped a 10-play, 63-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown to give Green Bay an early 7-0 lead over Seattle.
Coming off a long weekend after the Packers played last Thursday, Jacobs received nine touches on Green Bay’s first 10 plays. He took seven carries for 27 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards.
Quarterback Jordan Love got the other 4 yards on the possession, scrambling for a 4-yard gain on second-and-goal from the 5.
Jacobs has now tied his career-high with 12 rushing touchdowns this season.
The Seahawks officially will play Sunday Night Football without starting running back Kenneth Walker III.
He is among the team’s inactives after being listed as doubtful with a calf injury.
Zach Charbonnet will start again after rushing for a career-best 134 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win over the Cardinals.
The Seahawks elevated rookie running back George Holani from the practice squad for the second consecutive week to have a back behind Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh.
The Seahawks’ other inactives are cornerback Tre Brown (hamstring), tight end Brady Russell (foot), linebacker Trevis Gipson, wide receiver Cody White, cornerback Artie Burns and quarterback Jaren Hall.
Packers cornerback Corey Ballentine (knee) is active after being listed as aquestionable.
The Packers’ inactives are wide receiver Malik Heath, safety Javon Bullard (ankle), cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) and offensive lineman Jacob Monk.
Cornerback Artie Burns is back for the Seahawks.
The team announced on Saturday that they have activated Burns from injured reserve. Burns appeared in one game earlier this season before suffering a toe injury and he played in 17 games for the Seahawks over the previous two seasons.
Safety Jerrick Reed went on injured reserve in a corresponding move. He had three tackles in five games this season.
The Seahawks also announced that they have elevated quarterback Jaren Hall and running back George Holani from the practice squad for their game against the Packers. Hall was elevated for one other game, but did not play. Holani has appeared in two games and gives the team depth with Kenneth Walker listed as doubtful to play.
Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker remained out of practice Friday, earning a doubtful designation for Sunday’s game against the Packers.
Walker, who leads Seattle with 542 yards rushing this season, has a calf injury.
Zach Charbonnet has 400 yards and is tied with Walker for the team lead with seven touchdowns after rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns Sunday.
Wide receiver DK Metcalf (shoulder) has no injury designation after a full practice Friday.
The Seahawks ruled out cornerback Tre Brown (hamstring), free safety Jerrick Reed (quad), tight end Brady Russell (foot), offensive tackle Stone Forsythe (hand) and strong safety K’Von Wallace (ankle).
Cornerback Artie Burns (toe) is doubtful.
