Tiki Barber bruised his calf yesterday, but says the injury isn’t serious.
His left knee was covered with white adhesive after taking stitches and his right calf was heavily iced and wrapped in an Ace bandage. It didn’t appear to affect Barber, so we’re not too concerned.

Tiki Barber finished with the NFL lead in total yards with 2,097.
He passed Edgerrin James, who only had one carry on Sunday. We had Tiki as a top 20 pick this season and we doubt his ranking will change much next year.
  • NYG Running Back
Tiki Barber is 94 yards away from the Giants single season rushing record.
The team is using it as motivation this week at practice and want to get him the record. Look for it to happen Sunday night versus Dallas.

Tiki Barber has changed the way he holds the ball in an effort to fix his fumbling problem.
The first step is admitting you have a problem. Barber now runs with the ball carried up near his chest.

SI’s Peter King says he’d put his money on Tiki Barber being in training camp with either the Bucs, Raiders, Patriots or Jets.
There has also been speculation that the Saints and Broncos could show interest. But if the Bucs part ways with Cadillac Williams, that appears to be the best fit. Still, we’re skeptical that the 35-year-old Barber really has enough left in the tank to be a factor.

Tiki Barber rushed 11 times for 60 yards and caught two passes for six yards Friday.
Tiki was in midseason form, looking like the best player on the field in the first half. That said, he watched Brandon Jacobs vulture a touchdown score, something that may happen all too often this season.
  • NYG Running Back
Tiki Barber rolled up 161 total yards on 18 carries for 110 yards and five catches for 61 yards Sunday.
Brandon Jacobs was more active than last season, carrying the ball near the goal line, and vulturing a score. Still, fantasy owners have to be happy with Barber when he’s this dominant. It looked just like 2005.

Plaxico Burress insists free agent Tiki Barber is “better than half the backs in the league” right now.
We have no idea how good Tiki is five years since his last carry because NFL teams have black-balled him as a clubhouse lawyer motivated to return perhaps by factors that go beyond football. “I’m very surprised he’s not on somebody’s roster,” said Burress. “But it’s just Week 4. Maybe somebody will call him. ... I believe he can still play and have an impact.”

Tiki Barber could pick up a few carries with Ron Dayne out of the Giants lineup today.
If you were on the fence with Tiki, this is a good sign.

Tiki Barber gained 125 yards and a TD on nine carries and caught five passes for 75 yards in week one.
Barber broke a 72-yarder during garbage time that likely won a few fantasy games. Despite the 200 yards, it’s interesting that Ron Dayne had more carries than Barber.
