Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau will be a healthy scratch tonight when the Montreal Canadiens visit the Ottawa Senators for Game 3.
Parenteau missed Game 2 on Friday due to an upper body injury.
Following the club’s morning skate on Sunday, Michel Therrien confirmed Parenteau is available to play, but that he won’t be making any lineup changes with the Habs up 2-0 in the series.
Parenteau played 12:13 in Game 1 registering three shots on goal.
The 32-year-old had eight goals and 22 points in 56 regular season games.
No word if Parenteau’s agent will be lobbying for his client’s return to the lineup.
Last month Allan Walsh took to Twitter after Parenteau was a healthy scratch in four straight games.
The move paid off as Parenteau was inserted into the Habs’ lineup in the following game.
