NBC will present three straight weekends of figure skating, highlighted by live coverage of the U.S. Championships on Jan. 24-25.
This weekend, NBC will air U.S. Championships preview shows for women and ice dance (Saturday, 5 p.m. ET) and men and pairs (Sunday, 3 p.m. ET).
Saturday’s show includes interviews with defending U.S. champion Gracie Gold and two-time U.S. champion Ashley Wagner and a report on the top ice dance teams from 2006 Olympic silver medalist Tanith Belbin.
Sunday’s show includes a profile of 2014 U.S. junior champion Nathan Chen, a 15-year-old moving up to the senior competition with planned quadruple jumps this year.
NBC’s lead figure skating team of Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will host the preview shows and the competition shows the following week in Greensboro, N.C.
NBC will air live coverage of U.S. Championships free skates on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m. ET and in primetime with the women at 8 p.m. ET. The men’s free skate will be on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m. ET. Complete U.S. Championships event schedule here.
Finally, on Jan. 31, NBC will air coverage of the Skating Spectacular exhibition gala at 2:30 p.m. ET.
