Bulls Ratings Increase 31% compared to November ’13 -- 64% Increase compared to November ‘12
Significant Increases as well for “Kia Bulls Postgame Live”
Chicago, IL (December 2, 2014) – Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the NBA Central Division first place Chicago Bulls, posted significant television ratings for the first month of the 2014-15 NBA season, which resulted in solid game & post-game ratings increases compared to last November.
Comcast SportsNet’s Bulls ratings averaged a 4.78 household average rating in November (approx. 166,215 households watching per game) -- a 31% increase over last November’s 3.66 average. Compared to November 2012’s 2.91 household average, CSN’s Bulls ratings for November ‘14 were up 64%.
Comcast SportsNet also experienced notable November ’14 vs. November ‘13 ratings increases in EVERY key advertising demo category, including Adults 18-34 (up 40%)…Adults 18-49 (up 58%)…Adults 25-54 (up 68%) …Men 18-34 (up 43%)…Men 18-49 (up 49%)…and Men 25-54 (up 60%). On November 5 vs. Milwaukee, Comcast SportsNet delivered its highest Bulls regular season game rating in two years with a 6.0 (approx. 209,000 households tuning in), peaking at a 7.1 (approx. 247,000 households tuning in).
Through its first nine telecasts this season, Comcast SportsNet’s Bulls game ratings have averaged “at least” a 4.0 household rating on eight occasions. For all of last season (43 total games), only seven games reached at least a 4.0 average.
In addition to its ratings increases for game telecasts, Comcast SportsNet’s Kia Bulls Postgame Live household ratings went up 44% compared to last November. Source for all ratings information is provided by Nielsen Media Research.
