Now, the Dutch winger faces another shot of adversity after Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal reportedly left the 22-year-old off of the team’s roster ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final.

According to the Telegraph, Depay has been omitted from United’s 18-man squad that is set to face Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon at Wembley Stadium.

Depay’s struggles since joining the Red Devils have been clearly noted, but Van Gaal’s decision to leave the youngster out of the squad completely certainly does come as a shock.

Along with fellow Dutchman Daley Blind, Depay is the only other United player this season to make the team’s gameday roster for every match.

In 45 matches this season across all competitions, Depay has registered just seven goals and three assists for the Red Devils, who seek Saturday’s FA Cup in an attempt to quiet some of the doubters.
