Burnley rescued a deserved point in dramatic fashion on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester twice took the lead through Jeffrey Schlupp and Riyad Mahrez but Michael Kightly scored Burnley’s first goal since the opening for their first and then Ross Wallace curled in a stunning injury-time free kick to make it 2-2 and breaks the Foxes hearts.
With the point Leicester remain unbeaten at home and sit in ninth with nine points, while Burnley recorded their fourth draw but sit second from bottom as they still search for their first win.

Both teams cancelled each other out in an even first half at the King Power Stadium. Burnley took the game to Leicester but chances were scarce until the 32nd minute when Mahrez whipped in a great ball from the right that Schlupp tapped home to put the Foxes 1-0 up.
Leicester’s fans were delighted but soon after Burnley were level but not after setting a new club record for the longest time with a goal. They set a new record of 10 hours and 52 minutes without scoring but Kightly made it 1-1 by prodding home in the 39th minute.

After the break Burnley almost leveled as Scott Arfield’s cross was headed just wide by Lukas Jutkiewicz, with the Clarets giving it a real go.

Late on Jutkiewicz turned and smashed just wide of the far post with his back to goal as Sean Dyche’s side pushed for the equalized and pinned the Foxes back. A lengthy delay then ensued as Trippier was injured badly after falling in the box.
The equalizer finally arrived in the 95th minute as Wallace curled a magnificent free kick up and over the wall to see the traveling Clarets fans wild. A point each was a fair result.
