The match in 100 words (or less): FC Dallas traveled to MAPFRE Stadium to face a Columbus Crew side that was riding a four-match unbeaten streak, but the visitors were able to end that run with an impressive 3-0 win. Columbus hadn’t lost by three goals at home since April of 2012, which adds to the feat for Dallas. A missed penalty kick in the first half from Columbus would come back to haunt the Crew, as Dallas capitalized just minutes later to take the lead before scoring twice in two minutes in the second half.

Three moments that mattered
25' -- Higuain misses penalty for Columbus -- The Crew were gifted a penalty with a soft call from referee Baldomero Toledo, but luckily for Dallas, Federico Higuain couldn’t convert from the spot. Higuain stepped up but shanked his shot wide of the net to the keeper’s right.
27' -- Dallas makes Crew pay with quick response -- After the penalty miss, Dallas stormed up the field and immediately scored to take the lead. David Texeira headed the ball back across goal from a corner kick, where Atiba Harris connected with a header of his own to put the visitors ahead.
69' -- Barrios doubles Dallas’ lead off the counter -- After absorbing a whole lot of Columbus attack, Dallas went ahead 2-0 out of nowhere. Atiba Harris booted a ball out of the back in an attempted clearance, and it ended up springing Michael Barrios on a counter-attack. Barrios used his pace to blow by the Columbus defense and finished it off with a clean finish.
