After some exciting fixtures in Tuesday and Wednesday night’s U.S. Open Cup matches, the competition hits the Fifth Round.

While MLS teams dominate the remaining field of 16, two NASL sides will look to shock the rest as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and New York Cosmos are each coming off of big wins against MLS opposition.

The Strikers took D.C. United to penalty kicks on Wednesday, winning 4-3 (0-0 in regulation) after the extra session, while the Cosmos defeated New York City FC in the dying moments of their Fourth Round clash.
The Fifth Round will be headlined by several high-profile matches, pending each team starting their normal XI, but New York Red Bulls-Philadelphia Union and Colorado Rapids-FC Dallas each appear to be among the top fixtures on paper.
