According to multiple reports in the UK, the Reds are set to make a $50 million bid for FC Porto forward Jackson Martinez.

Having spent three seasons at Porto, the South American striker is said to fancy a move away from the Estadio do Dragao. Having seen fellow Colombian forwards Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez get move to Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively over the summer, Jackson is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
After scoring two goals in five games for Colombia at the World Cup, Jackson has shown his talent at the elite level and will be itching to move to one of Europe’s top leagues to win silverware. He has a huge upside in that he can play out wide or as the lone front man and he seems to be ready built for the PL with pace and power a key component of his.
