A new Spanish striker is on the radar of Premier League clubs, as Valencia’s Paco Alcacer is interesting Arsenal and Chelsea among others.

According to reports from Talksport, Alcacer is being hurriedly offered a new deal by La Liga outfit Valencia after his recent good form saw him called up to the Spanish national team squad.

Alcacer, 21, scored his first goal for Spain during their 5-1 win over Macedonia on Monday after making his debut for La Furia Roja last week against France.

All of that has sparked talks of big PL teams lining up the young striker but Valencia are said to be offering him a new deal with a significant pay rise, plus inserting a $40 million buyout clause in that contract.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both rumored to be interested in the predatory frontman who has excelled on the international stage for every single one of Spain’s youth teams.

Alcacer scored 14 goals and added three assists in 37 games for Valencia last season, including a hat trick in their Europa League quarterfinal comeback against FC Basel. With his small size (5' 8"), quick feet and deft finishing, many comparisons have been made between Alcacer and former Valencia striker David Villa. Both Chelsea and Arsenal could do with a ‘fox in the box’ forward. Arsenal added Danny Welbeck on Deadline Day but are still short of an out-and-out goalscorer, while Chelsea don’t have much in reserve after Diego Costa. Loic Remy is unproven at the highest level, while Didier Drogba will be nothing but a bit-part player.
