Andre Schurrle and Julian Draxler fittingly teamed up for the clinching goal as Wolfsburg beat Gent 1-0 at Volkswagen Arena on Tuesday in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie.

Gent’s game defensive effort couldn’t produce the goals needed to overcome a tough first leg, and Draxler found Schurrle in the 74th minute to make it 4-2 on aggregate.

Die Wölfe won the away leg 3-2 and were in pretty good position heading into the match. They easily out-attempted De Buffalo’s despite being out-possessed for most of the match.

Wolfsburg also joined Bayern Munich in Bundesliga history, as described below.
