Tottenham Hotspur had to settle for a draw at Everton on Saturday in their Premier League opener but a bigger concern is the fitness of captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The French national team captain, 29, signaled to the bench after 35 minutes and was replaced my Michel Vorm and Spurs’ manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Lloris suffered a hamstring injury.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino revealed that Lloris injury impacted the team in a tough first half.
Spurs seemed to be suffering a little from a hangover after their collapse at the end of last season but they improved drastically when summer signing Vincent Janssen came off the bench in the second half. Pochettino pointed to playing two up front giving Spurs balance and hinted that may be the way forward in the future.
As for transfers the Argentine boss admitted he’s still trying to get new signings in but it is roving more difficult than he though, especially with head of recruitment Paul Mitchell revealing he would be leaving the north London club following the end of the summer transfer window.
On this showing and with several of last season’s stars such as Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli having a quiet outing, Tottenham may need a few reinforcements to at least try and solidify their position in the top four and make a push in the UEFA Champions League.
