The Knicks are expected to waive Vincent Poirier, per report.
He hasn’t played more than seven minutes in a game this year. This won’t change anything for fantasy managers.

  • NBA Center #17
Vincent Poirier has been traded to the Knicks.
He has no shot at minutes in New York.

  • NBA Center #17
Vincent Poirier (COVID-protocol) will remain on the inactive list for Wednesday’s game vs. Boston.
It’s unclear how much longer he’ll be out, but he wasn’t a part of the rotation anyway. We’ll be considering him out indefinitely and will not provide another update until he clears quarantine.

  • NBA Center #17
Vincent Poirier won’t play on Monday against the Hawks due to medical protocol.
The Sixers will be without the bulk of their roster due to COVID-19 protocol and injuries on Monday. Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey could be in for monster games. Quarantined players are expected to be sidelined for at least a week, so expect much of the same until January 16.

  • LAC Point Guard #25
Ben Simmons (knee swelling) is out on Saturday vs the Denver Nuggets, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Seth Curry positive test incident has thrown the Sixers and NBA into a whirlwind, and Philly is playing it safe, tagging Simmons with a knee swelling injury to hold him out of Saturday’s game against the Nuggets. The team is going to be without Joel Embiid (back tightness) and the following players due to covid protocols: Tobias Harris, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle and Vincent Poirier. The following players are available: Danny Green, Paul Reed, Tyrese Maxey, Isaiah Joe, Dwight Howard, Dakota Mathias and Tony Bradley. Mike Scott will suit up to meet the eight player minimum but won’t play.

  • NBA Center #17
Vincent Poirier will be subject to the league’s quarantine period due to health and safety protocols.
Poirier wasn’t part of the Sixers’ rotation so his absence will go unnoted by the majority of fantasy managers.

  • POR Guard-Forward #4
Matisse Thybulle (COVID protocol) has been ruled out for Saturday’s matchup with the Nuggets, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Thybulle is ineligible to play after being linked to Seth Curry (positive test) through contact tracing. He will be forced to quarantine for a minimum of seven days or a maximum of 14 days if he registers a positive, too. Tobias Harris, Shake Milton and Vincent Poirier will also be temporarily sidelined.

  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid (COVID protocol) has been cleared by the NBA and will play on Saturday vs the Nuggets, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Embiid was on the verge of being sidelined for at least a week after sitting next to Seth Curry, who tested positive, in Thursday’s game. But after a league investigation, the Sixers big man has been cleared and will be available to play against the Denver Nuggets. Those not to lucky are Tobias Harris, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle and Vincent Poirier, who are each out today.

  • DET Forward #12
Tobias Harris (health and safety protocols) will not play vs. the Nuggets on Saturday.
The Sixers will clear the threshold of eight eligible players, enabling them to avoid postponing the game due to a cascade of medical-protocol issues related to positive COVID-19 tests for Seth Curry and another team staff member. Joel Embiid, Danny Green and Paul Reed each cleared the league’s health and safety protocols, but Harris, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle and Vincent Poirier will be subject to a seven-day quarantine period. That likely means four DNPs are coming Harris’ way, and fantasy managers will need to make alternate arrangements in weekly lineups.

  • MIL Head Coach
The Sixers and Nuggets will play on Saturday after the NBA deemed Philly has nine eligible players, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
This game’s status was up in the air after reports that Seth Curry had tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday night. A handful of players were initially said to have been in close proximity of Curry, who was on the bench during Thursday’s game (with a mask). But after investigating through contact-tracing and interviews, the NBA cleared a few of the 76ers players eligible for today’s game including: Joel Embiid, Danny Green and Paul Reed. Those are out today and likely for a few games as the quarantine are: Tobias Harris, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle and Vincent Poirier.
