Bengals placed OL Xavier Su’a-Filo (knee) on injured reserve.
Su’a-Filo missed the last two weeks and was already ruled out for Week 5. He’ll be sidelined for the next three games before he’s eligible to return. The Bengals activated FS Ricardo Allen from IR in a corresponding move.

  • Bengals G Xavier Su’a-Filo did not practice on Tuesday due to a knee injury.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Su’a-Filo was day-to-day last week, but he didn’t suit up in Week 3 against the Steelers. His Week 4 status appears to be in doubt too after he didn’t practice on Tuesday. Second-round rookie guard Jackson Carman will start in his place once again if Su’a-Filo isn’t healthy for Thursday Night Football.

  • Bengals coach Zac Taylor called Xavier Su’a-Filo RG (leg) day-to-day.
Taylor also noted that he is “confident” in Jackson Carman if the second-round rookie is called to action. Su’a-Filo was one of the additions that the Bengals made this offseason to strengthen their subpar offensive line. So far, Joe Burrow has taken nine sacks through two games, far from the turnaround Cincinnati fans were hoping for. The Bengals face the Steelers in Week 3, a dreaded matchup for a team possibly giving a rookie his first career start. Expect Burrow to be under duress for a full four quarters this week.

  • Bengals signed OG Xavier Su’a-Filo, formerly of the Cowboys, to a three-year, $10 million contract.
Su’a-Filo has over 50 games of starting experience, but it is unclear if he will slot in as a starter or the Bengals’ top reserve interior lineman. 2019 will be Su’a-Filo’s age-29 campaign. Su’a-Filo suffered a broken leg last Week 16 for the Cowboys but should be ready for the Bengals’ offseason program.
  • Cowboys LG Xavier Su’a-Filo (lower leg) is out for the season.
Su’a-Filo suffered a broken bone in his lower leg during the Cowboys’ Week 16 loss to the Eagles. They’ll move forward with Joe Looney as their starting left guard.
  • Cowboys LG Xavier Su’a-Filo was forced from the Cowboys’ Week 16 loss to the Eagles with an ankle injury.
Su’a-Filo could not finish the game and was replaced by Joe Looney. Starting since Week 11, Su’a-Filo has been a liability, but it is still bad that the Cowboys have to dip further into their depth.
  • Cowboys LG Xavier Su’a-Filo (ankle) did not practice Tuesday.
Su’a-Filo sat out the Wild Card win with an ankle injury, and he is not starting this week on the right foot. Rookie Connor Williams got the start at left guard with Su’a-Filo out last week.
  • Cowboys declared LG Xavier Su’a-Filo, DE Dorance Armstrong, DL David Irving, LB Chris Covington, RB Darius Jackson, S Darian Thompson and QB Mike White inactive for the Wild Card Round against the Seahawks.
Su’a-Filo is week to week. Connor Williams is filling in.
  • Cowboys LG Xavier Su’a-Filo (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s Wild Card game against the Seahawks and not expected to play.
Connor Williams will fill in opposite Zack Martin. It’s not ideal for depth purposes, but Su’a-Filo was extremely ineffective down the stretch.
  • Cowboys LG Xavier Su’a-Filo (ankle) did not practice Thursday.
Dallas’ starter at left guard over the back-half of the season, Su’a-Filo went down with an ankle injury in the season finale and has not practiced at all this week. It would be a shock if he is ready to go for the Wild Card round. With RG Zack Martin expected back, Connor Williams will likely move back to the left side.
