Vaughn Dalzell shares how he’s betting Game 3 between the Golden State Warriors at the Los Angeles Lakers.
Warriors at Lakers (-3): O/U 227.5
Game 2 went as expected with the Warriors winning by 27 points at home in a bounce-back spot versus the Lakers.
Now, the Lakers are the favorites in a bounce-back spot to protect home court. Anthony Davis struggled in Game 2 with only 11 points after a 30-point effort in the series opener.
Kevon Looney coming off the bench probably threw Davis off and despite the uncertainty whether Looney or JaMychal Green starts, the Lakers will be better prepared.
Golden State went 11-30 on the road during the regular season and is 2-2 in the postseason thus far. The Warriors lost Games 1 and 2 in Sacramento to start that series before taking Games 5 and 7 to win the series.
Role players like Jordan Poole, Donte DiVincenzo, Gary Payton, Kevon Looney and Moses Moody all average fewer than 10 points per game on the road in the postseason.
It will take the Warriors more than Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to win the series. While I do think Golden State ultimately does win, I will back the home team here in a trifecta spot.
I bet the Lakers 1Q (-125), 1H (-145) and full game ML’s (-150). After winning by 27 points and seeing LeBron James and the Lakers open as favorites is telling versus a Warriors squad that has struggled on the road all season.
Pick: Lakers 1Q M (Risk 1u), Lakers 1H ML (Risk 1u), Lakers full game ML (Risk 1u)
