Jimmy Butler O/U 7.5 Assists vs. Bulls
Jimmy Butler will play the Chicago Bulls for the sixth time since being traded away from the storied franchise. Since then, Jimmy Buckets has not had any problems scoring or passing on his former squad.
His lowest point total in five meetings has been 22. In a meeting earlier in March, Butler recorded 28 points on 9-of-17 (52.9%) from the field. He also added eight assists in that meeting, his third-straight versus Chicago of seven or more assists.

Butler will be playing on a back-to-back tonight, which he has only done three times all season. One came against Chicago (28 Points) and the other two were Golden State (22 Points) and Denver (13 Points).
What has caught my eyes has been his passing. In all three back-to-backs, Butler also went Over his 7.5 assist total, recording eight, eight and nine. Lately, Butler has seven or more in five-straight and averaging 7.7 in April.
NBC’s model projects Butler to total 7.6 assists in 36 minutes, right on line with his prop total. When Butler plays between 30 and 39 minutes, he averages 7.5 assists this season and he went Over 7.5 in the last four games of 30-plus minutes.

Miami’s expected lineup is Kendrick Nunn, Butler, Duncan Robinson, Trevor Ariza and Bam Adebayo. Butler has played eight games with that lineup and posted the highest assist percentage (33.8%), nearly doubling the next (Nunn, 17.7).
Butler has gone Over 7.5 assists in 24-of-43 games this season (55.8%), six of the last 10 (60%) and four of the previous five (80%). Chicago also allows the fifth-most assists per game in the last five outings (27.6) and rank 22nd over the past 10 (26.5).
With Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro out, look for Butler to lead the team in assists, something he has done in seven of the last 10 games and 11 of the past 15. I lean Butler’s Over 22.5 points. I liked the 20.5, but once Dragic and Herro were ruled out, his total rose to 22.5. Take the Over 7.5 assists or the 30.5 (+100) combined point and assist prop if you like his scoring chances.
Pick: Jimmy Butler Over 7.5 Assists (1u)
