Sooners lose one of their top WRs to season-ending injury

No, not the top receiver.

Fortunately for Oklahoma, Ryan Broyles is just fine. Unfortunately for the Sooners, one of his receiving mates is not.

According to John Hoover of Tulsa World, wide receiver Dejuan Miller suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee during practice Tuesday and will be lost for the remainder of the 2010 season. The paper reports that Miller will have surgery next week and faces a recovery time frame of about five months.

Playing a good chunk of the season as the Sooners’ No. 3 receiver, Miller has 15 receptions (fourth on the team) and 199 yards (third). His 13.3 yards per catch is tops among the four Sooner receivers with at least ten receptions.
