It was the 23rd homer of the season for Alonso, who enjoyed a strong July, slashing .261/.375/.466 with four homers, 10 RBI and six doubles. He has also hit safely in eight of his last 10 games and continues to be one of the top fantasy producers at his position.

Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a homer and a walk as the Orioles fell to the Braves 3-2 in 11 innings on Sunday.

Alonso connected for a solo shot off Dylan Lee in the bottom of the eighth, cutting the deficit to 2-1 at the time. He’s up to 22 homers on the year in his first campaign since signing with the Orioles. Alonso’s wRC+ isn’t as high as the mark he registered hitting alongside Juan Soto last season, but it’s right in line with the two prior seasons. He’s one of the most stable first-base options in fantasy baseball year in and year out.

Alonso’s home run was his 21st of the season. He hit a two-run shot off Noah Cameron in the fourth inning. Alonso also doubled and scored in the second inning. He’s hitting .253 with an .826 OPS and 64 RBI in his first season in Baltimore.

Alonso put the Orioles on the board in the first inning with a two-run homer off Zack Littell, a 105.1 mph blast going 437 feet. The 31-year-old slugger is up to 19 homers while hitting .252/.342/.478 with 53 runs scored and 58 RBI across 368 plate appearances. Alonso has improved with each month in Baltimore, hitting .288 with eight homers in June.

He has seven home runs in June alone, and the ball should continue to fly as the weather warms up.

Alonso tied the game at 3-3 with a solo homer off Roki Sasaki. In his first season with the Orioles, the man they call Polar Bear has homered 17 times, and he’s driven in 49 runs. Six of those homers have come in the month of June, and he’s forged an impressive .955 OPS in the month to go with them.

Pete Alonso went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in a loss to the Padres.

Alonso delivered one of his strongest performances of the season on an otherwise forgettable afternoon for Baltimore. He took Padres starter Randy Vásquez deep with two outs in the opening frame and also added an RBI double in the seventh inning as part of a three-hit effort. The power-hitting 31-year-old is scorching hot of late, hitting .326 (15-for-46) with five homers and 12 RBI in 12 games since the start of June.

Alonso drew a two-out walk in the opening inning and scored on a two-run blast by Samuel Basallo. He then delivered a two-out, two-run single in the second inning that extended the Orioles’ lead to 6-2. Alonso is now slashing .245/.329/.457 to go along with 15 long balls and 46 RBI on the season.

Alonso capped off a six-run uprising off of Bryan Woo in the third inning by ambushing a first-pitch sweeper for a 439-foot (110.6-mph EV) two-run shot. That would be his only hit in four at-bats in the contest. The 31-year-old slugger seems to be enjoying his first season with the O’s, slashing .243/.320/.455 with 15 homers, 44 RBI and two swipes in 303 plate appearances.

Surgery “is always a possibility,” when a player sees a specialist, said Schneider per Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi. This is not a promising update for Yesavage’s chances of returning to the rotation any time soon. Given Toronto’s position in the standings, it would be surprising if they tried to push him to fight through this towards the end of the season if they had any doubt about it.
