Ronald Belisario is eligible to be activated from the restricted list Friday, but it’s not a sure thing that he will be.
Belisario is serving a 25-game suspension for violating MLB’s drug program. The Dodgers like him as a one-inning reliever, but right now they need someone that can go multiple innings. “He likes to let it fly for one inning,” pitching coach Rick Honeycutt said. “When he’s on, he can be dominant, but that’s 20 pitches or less, and after that, his stuff changes.” Belisario is out of options, so he’d have to pass through waivers if the Dodgers try to send him to the minors.
