Cubs prospect Aramis Ademan went 3-for-5 with two doubles on Wednesday for Low-A South Bend.
It was just the second game for Ademan at the full-season level, but so far so good. The Cubs gave the left-handed hitting shortstop $2 million back in July of 2015, and he appears to be worth the investment. He has excellent feel for the barrel, and despite his wiry stature, he shows some sneaky power as well. He’s also a plus runner, so double-digit steals are possible, too. This is definitely a long-term prospect, but potentially a high-reward one.
