According to Jerry Crasnick, former major league reliever Mark Lowe is looking to make a comeback.
Lowe didn’t pitch professionally this season after failing to make the Dodgers out of spring training. Now 35 years old, he hasn’t pitched in the majors since putting up an ugly 7.11 ERA in 54 appearances with the Tigers in 2016. He’s willing to accept a spring training invite or perhaps accept an opportunity overseas in order to pitch again.

Dillon Dingler went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer to power the Tigers past the Rangers 5-1 on Saturday.
Building on his fine 2025 campaign, Dingler has six homers and 23 RBI in 29 games to open the season. And Statcast still thinks he’s been terribly unlucky at the plate. He entered tonight with a .247 average and a .310 xBA. He had a .464 slugging and a .600 xSLG, with his 13 barrels and 51 percent hard-hit rate.
Rutschman putting up 'star caliber' statistics
James Schiano breaks down Adley Rutschman's performance in his six games since returning for the Orioles from the IL, in which he has put up an impressive performance with four home runs and 14 RBIs.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #54
Keider Montero pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball to defeat the Rangers on Saturday.
Although he was going to open up in the minors, Montero looked like a deep sleeper this spring because of a nice velocity boost leading into the WBC. As it turned out, that extra velocity disappeared as soon as the season stated, but Montero has been quite effective anyway, going 2-2 with a 3.48 ERA in six starts. He’ll almost certainly start giving up more homers going forward — he’s allowed one every 11 innings this season, compared to a career rate of one every 5 1/2 innings — but if he can hold on to the improvement in his walk rate, he’s certainly a solid enough fourth or fifth starter for Detroit. He’ll face the Royals next weekend.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #80
Kumar Rocker was lit up for five runs in two innings by the Tigers on Saturday.
Just when it seemed like Rocker had found some consistency, he could manage only six outs against Detroit’s lineup. His ERA jumped from 3.38 to 4.71. Rangers relievers went on to throw six scoreless innings the rest of the way, but it didn’t count for much in a 5-1 loss. Rocker should stay in the rotation and face the Cubs next week. If he’s ineffective again then, perhaps the Rangers could consider a switch to Cal Quantrill.
  • DET Right Fielder #46
Wenceel Pérez went 2-for-3 with a walk and two steals against the Rangers on Saturday.
It’s the second career multisteal game for Pérez; he previously had two last July 29 against the D-backs. He’s batting .170/.241/.302 in 58 plate appearances since Parker Meadows’ injury gave him an opportunity, so he needs to take a step forward to ensure that he sticks in Detroit’s plans. Some would already like to see Max Clark get a look in his place.
  • TEX Center Fielder #32
Evan Carter went hitless for a seventh straight game Saturday, finishing 0-for-4 against the Tigers.
Carter is all of the way down to .177/.298/.313 on the season, but his exit velocity numbers are a little better than usual and he’s only striking out at his career rate. He doesn’t seem like a great play right now, but he’ll be a mixed-league option at times this year, in part because he’s a quality basestealer. He’s 24-for-26 stealing bases and has 18 homers in 164 career games since debuting in 2023.
  • ATL 1st Baseman #28
Matt Olson connected on a solo homer in a win over the Rockies on Saturday.
It was a garbage-time homer for Olson as it came with Atlanta already leading 8-1. Still counts. The 32-year-old has been outstanding to open the year, as this was already his 11th homer of the season, and he’s now slugging .639 on the campaign.
  • ATL 3rd Baseman #27
Austin Riley went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in a blowout win for Atlanta on Saturday over the Rockies.
Riley has been awful to begin the season, but after a two-hit game Friday, the 29-year-old had one of his best games of 2026. He not only hit his third homer, but he also stole his third base, drew a walk and scored a couple of runs. Even with the solid contest, he’s still slashing .205/.287/.346, but fantasy managers know what kind of runs Riley is capable of going on. Perhaps this is the start.
  • ATL Catcher #30
Drake Baldwin hit a two-run homer while driving in four runs and going 3-for-4 in a blowout win over the Rockies on Saturday.
Baldwin made it a 2-0 lead for Atlanta with his homer off Brennan Bernardino in the first inning. He also doubled, singled and walked to improve his slash to .312/.391/.522 over the first 33 games of the year. Atlanta has looked like one of the best teams in baseball to begin the year, and Baldwin is a big reason for that.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #32
Chase Dollander worked 5 1/3 innings and allowed six runs against Atlanta on Sunday.
Dollander worked as the bulk hurler Saturday, and he was fortunate that Brennan Bernardino gave up a pair of runs so he doesn’t get the loss. That’s not to say he was good, as he gave up eight hits and three walks while striking out three. It’s disappointing after his impressive previous pair of outings, but these things happen; especially for 24-year-olds. He’ll likely face the Phillies on Friday.
  • ATL Starting Pitcher #51
Chris Sale struck out 11 over seven innings of one-run baseball to pick up a win in a 9-1 thrashing of the Rockies on Saturday.
Sale was exceptional, generating 20 swings-and-misses while giving up just two hits and three walks. The left-hander did allow six hard-hit balls, but it sure didn’t feel like it while throwing 70-of-102 pitches for strikes. That’s 20 strikeouts over his last two games, and his ERA has dwindled to 2.14 with a 49/12 K/BB ratio. Sale has a marquee matchup coming Friday, as he’ll take on the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
