    Rockies released RHP Ubaldo Jimenez.
Jimenez was a surprising signing by the Rockies before the COVID-19 pandemic, as he hadn’t pitched in an MLB game since 2017. He wasn’t placed on the 60-player pool, and now he’s free to try and continue his comeback with another club, if he so chooses.

Taj Bradley, on the injured list with pectoral inflammation, was lifted after allowing one run in 1 2/3 innings in his rehab start Sunday for Triple-A St. Paul.
After an easy first, Bradley threw 30 pitches in the second and it was decided not to extend him further. This figured to be Bradley’s only rehab start, as he’s eligible to come off the injured list next weekend. However, perhaps the Twins will now ask him to pitch once more in the minors.
Rays show off scrappy identity in 30th win of year
Matt Vasgersian, Brian Anderson and Jeff Nelson react to the Rays' 6-3 win over the Marlins, where plenty of movement on the basepaths and gutty pitching performances defined Sunday's clash between in-state rivals.
  • BOS Catcher #75
Carlos Narváez left Sunday’s game with pain in his right middle finger, according to the Red Sox.
Connor Wong replaced him. The Red Sox also have Mickey Gasper as a catcher option, so they wouldn’t need to make a move for another catcher if Narváez needs a couple of days off. Anything more than, though, and he’ll probably land on the IL. Matt Thaiss or Jason Delay could get the call in that case.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #56
Katie Woo of The Athletic reports that the Dodgers are close to acquiring left-hander Eric Lauer from the Blue Jays.
Lauer was designated for assignment by the Jays earlier in the week. The details of the swap are still being worked out, but it sounds like it’s a done deal that the 30-year-old southpaw will be joining the Dodgers. Stay tuned.
  • SEA Catcher #18
Mitch Garver (back) returns to Mariners’ lineup on Sunday.
Garver was scratched from the M’s lineup on Saturday due to tightness in his back, but it appears to have been only a minor issue. Expect him to see the bulk of the action behind the dish while Cal Raleigh (oblique) is shelved.
  • TB 3rd Baseman #13
Junior Caminero clobbered his 12th home run of the season and drew a pair of walks on Sunday, propelling the Rays to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Marlins.
Caminero opened the scoring in the home half of the first inning, walloping a 2-2 sweeper from Eury Pérez for a 372-foot (104.0 mph EV) solo shot. He also drew a walk with the bases loaded in the sixth inning to bring in the Rays’ sixth run. The 22-year-old budding superstar is now hitting .256/.342/.488 with 12 homers and 23 RBI on the season.
  • TB Designated Hitter #2
Yandy Díaz went 1-for-3 and cranked a solo home run on Sunday as the Rays bested the Marlins in Tampa Bay.
Díaz jumped on a first-pitch changeup from Eury Pérez and clobbered it for a 426-foot (108.5 mph EV) solo shot that extended the Rays’ lead to 5-2 in the fifth inning. He also drew a walk in the ballgame. The 34-year-old slugger is enjoying another strong season offensively, slashing .295/.376/.458 with seven long balls and 27 RBI.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #47
Bryan Baker closed out the Marlins in the ninth inning on Sunday afternoon, preserving a three-run lead to earn his 12th save of the season.
He made things a bit interesting by allowing a leadoff single to Joe Mack, but rebounded to retire Xavier Edwards on a line out to left, Liam Hicks on a fielder’s choice and Otto Lopez on pop out to shortstop to end it. Baker has been a revelation for the Rays — and for fantasy managers — in the ninth inning this season, posting a 2.79 ERA and 23/8 K/BB ratio over 19 1/3 innings of work while converting 12 of his 15 save opportunities.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #57
Drew Rasmussen picked up his fourth victory of the season on Sunday, limiting the Marlins to just two runs on seven hits across 5 1/3 innings.
Rasmussen walked two batters and struck out two in the ballgame. All of the damage done against him came in the third inning on a pair of RBI singles by Xavier Edwards and Otto Lopez. Rasmussen generated five swings and misses on 93 offerings, posting a CSW of 23 percent. Now 4-1 on the season, he’ll carry a 3.19 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 45/9 K/BB ratio (48 innings) into a tough matchup against the Yankees in New York on Saturday.
  • MIA Shortstop #6
Otto Lopez filled up the box score during Sunday’s loss to the Rays, going 2-for-4 with a double, run scored, RBI and two stolen bases.
Lopez was plunked by Drew Rasmussen in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Marlins were unable to cash him in. He then smacked an RBI single in the third inning and again swiped second base before being stranded there. Lopez also started a rally with a one-out double in the eighth and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Kyle Stowers. With his two-hit attack, hte 27-year-old infielder is now hitting an impressive .344/.374/.503 with four homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #39
Eury Pérez struggled in a losing effort against the Rays on Sunday afternoon, surrendering five runs on five hits over five innings.
The right-hander struck out five batters in the ballgame while issuing four free passes. He served up solo homers to Junior Caminero in the first inning and Yandy Diaz in the fifth while allowing a three-run triple to Taylor Walls in the fourth inning. Pérez generated 10 whiffs on 102 pitches on the afternoon, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he brings an uninspiring 5.33 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 58/28 K/BB ratio into Friday’s matchup against the Mets.
