Blue Jays acquired OF Darlin Guzman from the Reds to complete the Hector Perez trade.
Guzman, 20, comes over as an outfielder who owns a career .910 OPS in 98 minor league games, but he’s never played above short-season. He’s a lottery ticket who is many, many years away from being a contributor.

Hunter Goodman went 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBI on Monday, lifting the Rockies to a 6-4 victory over the Marlins.
Goodman took Marlins starter Max Meyer deep in the third and fifth innings, respectively, to record the third multi-homer performance of his career. The 25-year-old backstop has been one of the few bright spots this season for Colorado as he’s up to nine round-trippers through 58 games and is on-pace for a potential 25-homer campaign. With the victory, the Rockies snapped an eight-game losing streak.
Abel, Young among top Week 11 waiver-wire targets
Eric Samulski examines the top fantasy baseball waiver-wire targets for Week 11, highlighting Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mick Abel and Seattle Mariners infielder Cole Young.
  • MIA Left Fielder #7
Jesús Sánchez went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI on Monday in a loss to the Rockies.
Sánchez capped off a three-hit effort, reaching base safely in four of his five plate appearances, with a leadoff single in the ninth inning that brought the potential tying run to the plate. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as Agustín Ramírez flew out and Kyle Stowers hit into a game-ending double play.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #36
Zach Agnos fired a scoreless ninth inning on Monday against the Marlins to record his fourth save of the season.
There haven’t been a ton of save chances for Colorado in recent weeks, but Agnos remains in the mix along with Seth Halvorsen, who worked a scoreless eighth inning in this one. The 24-year-old righty got the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and managed to work around a leadoff single from Jesús Sánchez by getting Agustín Ramírez to fly out before coaxing a game-ending double play from Kyle Stowers. There’s some appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues where every save tends to matter.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #48
Germán Márquez was charged with four runs – three earned – over five innings on Monday in a win over the Marlins.
Márquez served up nine hits, including six doubles, but managed to keep the ball in the yard and avoid a potential meltdown. He struck out six and only issued a pair of walks. The 30-year-old righty is still prone to the occasional implosion, with Coors Field only amplifying the risk factor there, but he’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in four of his past six starts since May 4. He’ll bring an underwhelming 6.98 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 38/21 K/BB ratio across 58 innings (12 starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Mets.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #23
Max Meyer was lit up for five runs — four earned — over five innings on Monday in a loss to the Rockies.
Meyer’s ongoing struggles continued in this outing as he coughed up 10 hits, including a pair of homers to Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman, and allowed five runs for the fifth time in his last seven starts dating back to April 27. He struck out five and issued two walks. Simply put, he hasn’t been the same since a brilliant 14-strikeout performance against the Reds in late April. The most alarming aspect from a fantasy standpoint is that the whiffs have basically evaporated. He generated only nine swinging strikes on 77 pitches against a Colorado lineup that typically struggles away from Coors Field. At this point, there are superior alternatives on the waiver wire, especially in shallow mixed leagues. He’ll carry a lackluster 4.73 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 68/20 K/BB ratio across 64 2/3 innings (12 starts) into a challenging road tilt on Sunday against the Rays.
  • COL Shortstop #14
Ezequiel Tovar made an early exit from Monday’s game against the Marlins.
Tovar was replaced at shortstop by Orlando Arcia in the bottom of the eighth inning. No word yet on the reason. He finished 1-for-4 with a run scored. There should be an update on his status shortly.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #32
AJ Smith-Shawver (elbow) will meet with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Keith Meister on Thursday to determine whether he’ll undergo Tommy John surgery or an internal brace procedure.
The latter option is a less-invasive surgical procedure and typically results in a much faster return to pitching as opposed to a full reconstructive operation. The 22-year-old top pitching prospect was diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow last week and is likely to be sidelined until the second half of the 2026 season, even if it winds up being an internal brace procedure.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #59
Sean Manaea (oblique) faced hitters on Monday in a 29-pitch live batting practice session.
The Mets will wait to see how Manaea is feeling afterwards in the coming days before determining whether he’s ready for a minor league rehab assignment. The 33-year-old southpaw will need a couple tune-up outings before he’s ready to make his season debut, most likely at some point in July. He’s been out since spring training making his way back from an oblique strain.
  • INT 1st Baseman #99
Luke Voit is signing with the Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball.
Voit heads overseas after a 36-game stint in the independent Mexican League where he batted .324 with 11 home runs. The 34-year-old was in camp last spring with the Mets, but didn’t make the club’s season-opening roster. He last appeared in the majors during the 2023 campaign when he got into 22 games for the Brewers.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #31
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) has yet to progress to throwing bullpen sessions.
Not good. Roberts added that Glasnow’s body is not responding as hoped and he remains limited to flat-ground throwing after experiencing some general soreness following last week’s bullpen session. There’s plenty of historical evidence to suggest that shoulder issues are extremely problematic for pitchers relative to other physical issues. At this point, fantasy managers shouldn’t anticipate Glasnow returning until the second half considering he’ll need to essentially build up his arm strength and stamina from scratch once he’s able to resume throwing bullpen sessions.
