Medeiros surrendered 14 runs on 17 hits with a 9/5 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings (10 appearances) this season at Triple-A Salt Lake. The 26-year-old former first-round selection inked a minor league contract with the Angels during the offseason and has yet to reach the majors.

Garver was scratched from the M’s lineup on Saturday due to tightness in his back, but it appears to have been only a minor issue. Expect him to see the bulk of the action behind the dish while Cal Raleigh (oblique) is shelved.

Caminero opened the scoring in the home half of the first inning, walloping a 2-2 sweeper from Eury Pérez for a 372-foot (104.0 mph EV) solo shot. He also drew a walk with the bases loaded in the sixth inning to bring in the Rays’ sixth run. The 22-year-old budding superstar is now hitting .256/.342/.488 with 12 homers and 23 RBI on the season.

Díaz jumped on a first-pitch changeup from Eury Pérez and clobbered it for a 426-foot (108.5 mph EV) solo shot that extended the Rays’ lead to 5-2 in the fifth inning. He also drew a walk in the ballgame. The 34-year-old slugger is enjoying another strong season offensively, slashing .295/.376/.458 with seven long balls and 27 RBI.

He made things a bit interesting by allowing a leadoff single to Joe Mack, but rebounded to retire Xavier Edwards on a line out to left, Liam Hicks on a fielder’s choice and Otto Lopez on pop out to shortstop to end it. Baker has been a revelation for the Rays — and for fantasy managers — in the ninth inning this season, posting a 2.79 ERA and 23/8 K/BB ratio over 19 1/3 innings of work while converting 12 of his 15 save opportunities.

Rasmussen walked two batters and struck out two in the ballgame. All of the damage done against him came in the third inning on a pair of RBI singles by Xavier Edwards and Otto Lopez. Rasmussen generated five swings and misses on 93 offerings, posting a CSW of 23 percent. Now 4-1 on the season, he’ll carry a 3.19 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 45/9 K/BB ratio (48 innings) into a tough matchup against the Yankees in New York on Saturday.

Lopez was plunked by Drew Rasmussen in the opening inning and swiped second base, but the Marlins were unable to cash him in. He then smacked an RBI single in the third inning and again swiped second base before being stranded there. Lopez also started a rally with a one-out double in the eighth and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Kyle Stowers. With his two-hit attack, hte 27-year-old infielder is now hitting an impressive .344/.374/.503 with four homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.

The right-hander struck out five batters in the ballgame while issuing four free passes. He served up solo homers to Junior Caminero in the first inning and Yandy Diaz in the fifth while allowing a three-run triple to Taylor Walls in the fourth inning. Pérez generated 10 whiffs on 102 pitches on the afternoon, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he brings an uninspiring 5.33 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 58/28 K/BB ratio into Friday’s matchup against the Mets.

While the Rangers are still calling it a minor issue, the fact that Seager is heading for imaging doesn’t bode particularly well for his status going forward. Fantasy managers should have a contingency plan in place for next week in the event that Seager winds up on the injured list.

McDermott made eight appearances for the Dodgers at the Triple-A level, posting a 4.32 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and a 16/8 K/BB ratio. He’ll function in a middle relief role for the Dodgers. Charlie Barnes was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move on Sunday.

Barnes was just promoted from Triple-A on Friday, but after being used in back-to-back games he wasn’t going to be available on Sunday, so the Dodgers opted to swap him out for a fresh arm. The 30-year-old left-hander should get another chance with the big league club in relatively short order.
