Freddy Tarnok reeled off four shutout innings in relief on Wednesday against the Rangers to collect his first career win.
Tarnok entered the contest after opener Austin Pruitt spun a pair of scoreless frames and wound up scattering two hits and a pair of walks over four innings. The 24-year-old righty, who was acquired last offseason from the Braves in the Sean Murphy trade, has posted a 4.91 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 14/11 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings (five appearances, one start) this season in the big leagues.
