Nolan Gorman went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and three runs scored on Wednesday in an 11-6 win over the Braves.
Gorman struck out in the first inning, but reached base on a pitch that got away from the catcher. He stole third and scored on a groundout. Gorman drew a walk in the third and came around to cross home plate on a single by Willson Contreras. With the Braves mounting a comeback, Gorman put the Cardinals ahead by five with a three-run shot off Dylan Lee in the eighth inning. The 23-year-old slugger is hitting .233/.321/.481 with 27 homers, 76 RBI, and seven steals across 445 plate appearances.
