Jose Altuve blasted a two run homer and collected three RBI on Sunday, leading the Astros to a 12-2 lopsided victory over the Padres.
Altuve extended Houston’s early lead with a two-run homer off Padres rookie Matt Waldron in the third inning and was also hit by a pitch in the sixth inning with the bases loaded to bring in an additional run. The 33-year-old veteran second baseman has been snake-bitten by injuries this season, but has remained productive, posting a robust .949 OPS with 16 homers and 13 stolen bases in just 72 games.
