Kristian Robinson made his Double-A debut Tuesday, collecting an RBI double in three at-bats for Amarillo.
The 22-year-old Robinson was removed from the Diamondbacks’ 40-man roster last month and went unclaimed on waivers. He was also demoted to Rookie ball for a time. However, it seems like he’s made some progress since then, and he got promoted to Double-A after hitting five homers in 11 games in low-A ball.

Yandy Díaz went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and two RBI in Friday’s win over the Marlins.
Díaz wasted little time putting the Rays on the board, taking the first pitch he saw from Marlins starter Janson Junk 383 feet into left field for a two-run homer to put the Rays up 2-0. Díaz has now homered six times on the season, with three of those homers coming in his last 15 games. He’s slashing just .228/.297/.404 over that span, but the power is an encouraging sign.
What has made Bleday so successful lately?
Eric Samulski discusses how Cincinnati Reds' J.J. Bleday has been "one of the hottest hitters in baseball" recently, going over key statistics that speak to his success and why fantasy managers should look out for him.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #61
Ian Seymour allowed one earned run over two innings while striking out two in Friday’s win over the Marlins.
Seymour made it through the first inning unscathed, retiring all three batters he faced, but allowed a solo homer to Connor Norby in the top of the second inning to give the Marlins their first run of the night. Serving as the Rays’ opener for the night, Seymour was pulled after just two innings, giving way to Jesse Scholtens. This is the first time Seymour has been used as an opener this season, so it seems unlikely he would draw another start any time soon.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #26
Janson Junk allowed seven earned runs over 5 2/3 innings while striking out two in Friday’s loss to the Rays.
Junk retired the first two batters he faced on the day, but walked Jonathan Aranda to set up Yandy Díaz for a two-run homer that gave the Rays an early lead in the first frame. Junk would give up two more runs in the second inning, allowing Richie Palacios to score on a sacrifice fly and Cedric Mullins to be driven home on a fielder’s choice. After keeping the rays off the board in the third inning, Junk would allow two more runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Taylor Walls, but bounced back to pitch a scoreless fifth inning before being pulled with two outs in the sixth. Junk has had a rough two-game stretch, allowing 11 earned runs in his last two outings while also letting 22 runners reach base. He’ll look to bounce back in his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against a tough Braves team.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #36
Ty Madden was removed from Friday’s outing against the Blue Jays after just two batters after he was drilled in the arm by a 107.9 mph comebacker off the bat of Yohendrick Pinedo.
He’ll head for further evaluation and likely X-rays to rule out any potential fractures. Expect the Tigers to provide an update on the right-hander’s status after the game.
  • SD Starting Pitcher
Lucas Giolito will make his Padres’ debut on Sunday against the Mariners.
The 31-year-old right-hander will take the rotation spot vacated by the injured Matt Waldron. Giolito has made four minor league rehab starts, registering a 4.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 15/6 K/BB ratio over 17 innings. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before trying to get Giolito into lineups.
  • SEA Catcher #29
Mariners’ manager Dan Wilson told reporters on Friday that Cal Raleigh (oblique) will be completely shut down for a week before being reevaluated.
Wilson noted that Raleigh underwent another MRI that came back better than his previous one, which is definitely encouraging. The Mariners are hopeful that he’ll only need to miss a couple of weeks. Mitch Garver will continue to handle the bulk of the action behind the plate in Raleigh’s absence.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #48
Brusdar Graterol (shoulder) has been pulled off of his minor league rehab assignment and will head for imaging after his back flared up on him during his minor league rehab assignment.
Graterol experienced a dip in velocity during his latest outing at Triple-A Oklahoma City which started the concern. We’ll wait and see what the imaging shows, but this will definitely push back the timeline for his return to the Dodgers’ bullpen.
  • DET Relief Pitcher #19
Will Vest (forearm) began a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
The 30-year-old right-hander has been shelved since May 2 due to right forearm inflammation. The Tigers’ bullpen has been in shambles lately, so a return to health from Vest would go a long way toward stabilizing things at the back end for the slumping Tigers.
  • SD Relief Pitcher #37
Padres recalled RHP Alek Jacob from Triple-A El Paso.
He’ll take the place of the injured Matt Waldron in the Padres’ bullpen. Jacob has made just one appearance with the Padres this season, picking up a victory in relief with three strikeouts over two scoreless frames.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #61
Padres placed RHP Matt Waldron on the 15-day injured list with a right brachialis muscle injury.
Waldron pitched in a bulk relief role on Tuesday and then was used out of the bullpen once again on Thursday by the Padres. It’s unclear exactly when the injury occurred or the severity of it. Alek Jacob was recalled from Triple-A El Paso to take his spot in the Padres’ bullpen.
